INAUGURATION of the event, with the screening of the music video with the orchestral version of the Hymn for the sea composed by Maestro Enrico Tricarico and the interventions, among others, by the mayor of Gallipoli and president of the Province of Lecce Stefano Minerva, by the president of the Gal Terra d'Arneo Cosimo Durante, the president of Confcommercio Imprese per l'Italia Lecce Maurizio Maglio and the president of the Puglia & Mare association Alessandra Bray.

THE SEA OF ART
Exhibition of works by the painter Diego Racconi and artists from the world adhering to his MareArte project, presented by MASSIMO GALIOTTA. Maestro Racconi, in addition to elaborating shapes and colors with geometric patterns, loves to narrate the sea also through the sensations and suggestions it can suggest. He also put his sensitivity at the service of the MareArte project linked to a fundraising in favor of bodies for the protection and recovery of protected marine animals. The exhibition has an appendix in the Civic Museum in via Antonietta De Pace which will last beyond 11 July.

presentation of the book “Onde e risacche. Quando il mare era in bianco e nero” by the journalist and writer GIUSEPPE ALBAHARI who will talk with ELIO PINDINELLI, historian and writer and FRANCO ANTONIO MASTROLIA, university professor of Economic Sciences. The councilor of the Historic Center Biagio Palumbo will speak.
The book intends to save the memory of situations, traditions and events in Gallipoli that are in danger of being forgotten, such as: the ancient trap active from 1327 to 1973; the wooden dressing rooms for the bathrooms, which until the 1960s were built on stilts in various city sites; Lido San Giovanni and its "mythical" rotunda overlooking the sea, which in the 1960s itself had great fame. THE SEA OF THE TERRACES - Video-guided tour by AMART in the historic center of Gallipoli starting from Piazza Imbriani, between fields and unusual shots suggested by the expert photographer Toti Magno and with the added value of the urban and marine panoramas that can be appreciated from the terraces of some significant buildings in the urban and architectural context of the city.

Tour stop for the inauguration of the "Vivere di mare" exhibition, a review of photographs and dialectal poems set up by the local Pro Loco on the occasion of the "National Pro Loco Day", which is celebrated on 11 July, with the participation of the deputy mayor Giuseppe Venneri and the president of the Pro Loco Lucia Fiammata.

THE SEA OF FLAVORS
Video (and not) - experiential journey between countryside and sea, with tastings, following the
precepts given by the chefs Giorgio Trova (president) and Stefania Erroi (secretary) of the FIPPC - Italian Federation of Professional Personal Chefs. Experiential online and face-to-face show cooking for a small group of participants. The latter will be accompanied by the chefs and the agronomist Giovanni Margarito in the fields of Made in Orto where they will be guided among the plants, in search and knowledge of the ingredients to be used for the subsequent realization of the recipe. Afterwards, the group will be guided, again by the chefs, to the local fish market, to choose the freshest fish required by the recipe. Subsequently, in the prepared room of the Galleria dei due Mari, the show cooking will start with a final tasting, which will also be broadcast online on the social channels of the event.

A SEA OF SYNERGIES
In the Galleria dei due Mari you can visit the exhibition on the historical-archaeological heritage of the coast and seabed of Gallipoli entitled Stories from the sea of ​​Gallipoli produced by Mediamorfosi and curated by professor Rita Auriemma, archaeologist, researcher and professor of underwater archeology at the Faculty of Cultural Heritage of Unisalento. Free admission during the "Week of the culture of the sea". There
exhibition can be visited until 29 August 2021 from 17.00 to 22.00. A visit to the special
setting up of finds arranged in the E. Barba Civic Museum in via Antonietta De Pace (historic center) will allow you to complete the knowledge path on the theme of the exhibition.
In the Galleria dei due Mari itself, the Blue Memories photographic exhibition held as part of the Blu European Festival, a brand of the Fishfest project, co-financed by the COSME program of the European Union and curated by Agriplan and Pazlab, can be visited until 11 July. The images refer to the stories and traditions of six fishing villages in as many EU countries: Pyrgos in Greece, Bermeo in Spain, Viana do Castelo in Portugal, Durres in Albania, Herceg Novi in ​​Montenegro and Gallipoli in Italy.
